Port Stephens Netball Assocation held its second council meeting on Wednesday 8 May 2024.
All eight member clubs, Executive members were in attendance, with apologises noted by some Life Members.
Meeting Minutes from the March Council meeting were accepted as a true and accurate reflection of the March meeting.
It was noted that there remains a vacant position of Admin Secretary on the Executive Committee, there were no nominations from the floor. This position remains vacant.

Round one was a great day, fantastic to see so many families back enjoying netball
Congratulations to Dungog and District Netball who were winners of the Parade of Colours sporting their new uniforms.
Courts 7 to 10 have had further rejuvenation works occur, which Port Stephens Council have approved are now fit for competition. These will be line marked in the near future.
PSNA was successful in the Local Sports Grant Program Grant – NSW Government $4,500 amenities refresh - we will look to carry out these works at the end of this netball season

25 May – Crazy Hair and Sock Day
Start planning now for Indigenous Round (20 July) and Mental Health Round (14 August)
Financial statements were presented to members
Representative teams are progressing well in their preparations for Senior State Titles to be held June long weekend and Junior State Titles to be held the first weekend of the July School Holidays.
Coaching tips will be posted to PSNA Socials, with some printed versions available at the club house.
Reminder to Club Umpires to please present to the Club house window to check in for your umpiring duty please provide the team you are umpring for and your full name to check in
Allan Prentice joined us for the New Rules Umpiring Session which was a great success.
Mentoring program to commence soon for umpires please provide details to Jess Rumbel (Umpires Convenor) or Nadina Marsh (Technical Services Convenor).

General Business
Life Member Wendy Thomas raised through written correspondence, that she would like to see PSNA represented at the ANZAC activities in Raymond Terrace in 2025. This was agreed by members to be explored in 2025, noting that Medowie Netball Club is actively involved in Medowie ANZAC activities
Mental Health Round preparations are underway with lots of great donations being collected for the fundraising activities. All funds raised will be split 50/50 to Talk2MeBro and UMatter
A robust conversation occurred about day registrations a decision was made by Council that this be explored for season 2025.
