Port Stephens Netball Rep Umpire Program Expression of Interest


Port Stephens Netball Association is looking for National Badged Umpires, and umpires working towards their National Accreditation to be part of the Port Stephens Netball Umpire Program.


As part of the Rep Umpire Program, you will have the opportunity to participate in the fitness training (not compulsory) with our athletes and support umpiring of games at Representative Training.


All umpires badged and working towards will have the opportunity to represent Port Stephens Netball Association across a range of Representative Carnivals ahead of the Netball NSW Junior and Senior State Titles. 


National Badged Umpires will have the amazing experience to represent Port Stephens Netball Association at the Netball NSW Junior and / or Senior State Titles, where Netball NSW also offer mentoring from their pool of Mentor Umpires. 


All Umpires will be renumerated for their attendance at Representative Carnivals and Netball NSW State Title Events, at a set fee.


Carnivals:

  • National Badged Umpires $100 per day per carnival 

  • Non-Badged Umpires $60 per day per carnival


Netball NSW State Titles (held over three days)

  • National Badged Umpires Only $150 per day 


Umpires who travel to represent Port Stephens Netball Association consistent with our Policies, will also have accommodation costs covered for these events and stay in hotel style accommodation with the Officials from the Association traveling to the Netball NSW State Title Events.

We have another opportunity for Port Stephens Netball Representative Team Managers


EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Port Stephens Netball Association is seeking Team Managers to support our Representative Teams in Season 2025.


The team manager is required to be a registered member of our Association (Volunteer - free or playing member).


Team Managers are responsible for the following as consistent with the PSNA Policy Document. 


The Manager will: 

  • Where possible not be appointed to a team in which they have a relative 

  • Take up their duties on announcement of the team 

  • Attend all training session as require and at any scheduled event the team is participating in 

  • Purchase an Association uniform and any other items as required 

  • Be responsible for the general conduct, wellbeing, and appearance of the team at any activities that are arranged for the team and oversee the health, safety and wellbeing of the players

  • Foster a fun and safe team environment and engage respectfully with team members families 

  • Be responsible for returning to the Association, in good order and condition all Association property in the possession of members of the team at the end of the Representative season

  • Report to the Coach, Representative Convenor and Selection Convenor (prior to any game events) immediately if they are informed of any condition that will impact a player’s performance

  • When at a playing event engage the Representative Convenor or President on any matters that require guidance regarding the playing group

  • Monitor the attendance of and report to the Representative Convenor, details of any player who does not attend training for any reason, or who does not put in maximum effort into training (after consultation with the Coach) 


Representative Training occurs on a Tuesday evening at our Raymond Terrace courts generally between 5.30pm to 7.30pm.


You would be required to attend Representative Carnivals (held on Sundays) and Junior and or Senior State Titles held over 3 days (Saturday to Monday inclusive).


Rep Team Managers are a valuable part of our Representative workforce. 


Junior State Titles are held: 5 to 7 July inclusive 

Senior State Tiles are held: 7 to 9 June inclusive 

All Team Managers are required to be accommodated with Port Stephens Netball Officials in hotel style accommodation.


Expression of Interest close 22 March 2025, ahead of final athlete selections on 25 March 2025.
